Originally designed as modular tuning weights for the Oyaide STB-MSX vinyl stabilizer, they also function as cable stabilizers, insulators, and resonance tuning tools across your entire audio system.

Applying those know-how, “STB-CM” was produced as the multi-use carbon pipe which is made of 3mm thick, highly-rigid and lightweight carbon CFRP.

This simple designed pipe works as the replacement weight for the Oyaide original “STB-MXS” vinyl stabilizer, the cable stabilizer for line, speaker, and power cable, and the insulator placed under your speaker and Hi Fi equipment.

Furthermore, it has ultimate possibility as the component parts of D.I.Y item. “STB-CM” will become a part of your idea and production.

Hi-speed Vibration Damping by 3mm Thick CFRP Pipe

After carbon fiber is multi-layered and heat-hardened, it is molded into 3mm thick CFRP pipe. The highly-rigid property of carbon quickly attenuates vibration. It also enhances resolution and S/N ratio due to the electro-magnetic shielding.

As the Replacement Weight for “STB-MSX” Vinyl Stabilizer

“STB-CM” has the same dimensions as the brass weight of “STB-MSX” and can be replaced it.
You can tune the sound character from the vinyl if you change the all 6 weights of “STB-CM” or change half of them.

Generally speaking, the timbre would be sharper if more STB-CM pipe is loaded.
In other words, higher frequency from the vinyl records will be more damped when the normal brass weights are full loaded.

Of course, it depends on your taste and your turntable set up including your phono cartridge and turntable mat, through our various experience, the half carbon pipes and half brass weights would be a good start for the best results.

(“STB-HWX” cannot load the STB-CM pipe because of its height.)
